At MMO we love to do process-oriented art!

Mother’s Morning Out is a nurturing environment for young children to develop socially, emotionally and creatively according to their individual needs and talents.

MMO has provided high quality childcare and early childhood education in our community for more than 40 years.  We serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, through our Drop-in and Preschool programs.  MMO is licensed by DCFS. All teachers are DCFS certified and the student-teacher ratio is approximately 25% less than many other preschools.

Our Curriculum

At MMO we believe that play is the basis for children’s learning.  Through play children develop their social skills, discover the world around them, and express their creativity.

Mother’s Morning Out utilizes the Creative Curriculum for Toddlers and Preschool in both the Drop-In and Preschool programs.  The fundamental beliefs underlying the Creative Curriculum are:

• Constructive, purposeful play is a vehicle for meaningful learning
• The development of social competence is a key focus of the preschool years
• Families are partners in children’s learning
• The teacher’s role is vital in connecting content, teaching and learning
• Curriculum and assessment must be linked
• All children, including those with special needs, can thrive in an appropriate classroom.
